POSTING GUIDELINES

Red Light North

These Posting Guidelines explain the rules and standards that apply when using the Red Light North platform ("Service"). By posting or viewing content on the Service, you agree to follow these guidelines as well as our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Red Light North is a classifieds platform only. We provide a space for users to post information and connect with others. We do not create, verify, endorse, or participate in any user activity.

1. User Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for anything you post, upload, publish, or communicate through the Service, including but not limited to:

  • Listings and advertisements
  • Photos or videos
  • Messages and communications
  • Profile information
  • Links or external references

Red Light North does not control or guarantee user content. You submit it — you are responsible for it.

2. Neutral Platform Statement

Red Light North is a neutral classifieds site.

We:

  • Do not act as a broker, agent, representative, employer, or participant in user activity.
  • Do not arrange, negotiate, or facilitate interactions between users.
  • Do not verify or approve user intentions.
  • Do not participate in any off-platform arrangements or activities.

Any interactions between users occur independently and entirely at their own risk.

3. Illegal Content Is Strictly Prohibited

Users must not post, request, promote, or facilitate any illegal activity.

This includes, without limitation:

  • Any content involving or appearing to involve minors
  • Any material that could reasonably be interpreted as exploitation or abuse
  • Human trafficking or coercive activity
  • Fraudulent or deceptive activity
  • Violence, threats, or intimidation
  • Content that is obscene or unlawful as defined by applicable criminal laws
  • Any unlawful solicitation or prohibited services
  • Content that violates applicable federal, provincial, or local laws

If you are unsure whether content is lawful, do not post it.

4. Zero Tolerance: Minors and Exploitation

Red Light North has zero tolerance for:

  • Content involving minors or anyone who appears underage
  • Attempts to exploit, groom, or target vulnerable individuals
  • Content that appears coercive or trafficking-related

Any content or account suspected of violating these rules may be removed immediately and may be reported to law enforcement authorities.

5. Prohibited Content Standards

The following content is not permitted:

  • Illegal or exploitative material
  • Misleading or fraudulent posts
  • Impersonation or false identities
  • Harassing, threatening, or abusive content
  • Content intended to intimidate or cause harm
  • Content that violates intellectual property rights
  • Spam, automation, or repetitive postings
  • Malware or malicious links

6. Obscene or Unlawful Material

Users must not post any content that would be considered obscene or otherwise unlawful under applicable criminal legislation.

You are responsible for understanding and complying with the laws that apply where you live and where content is accessed.

7. Harassment, Intimidation, and Misuse of Information

Users and viewers must not:

  • Use information found on the Service to harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or harm others.
  • Contact users for unlawful or abusive purposes.
  • Misuse personal information shared on the platform.

Respectful and lawful conduct is required at all times.

8. Accuracy and Vigilance

Users are expected to be careful and vigilant when posting.

You must:

  • Ensure your content is legal and accurate.
  • Confirm that all people depicted or referenced are lawful adults.
  • Avoid posting anything that could be misinterpreted as illegal or exploitative.

When in doubt, do not post.

9. Enforcement and Moderation

Red Light North may, but is not obligated to:

  • Review or moderate content
  • Remove or restrict listings
  • Suspend or terminate accounts
  • Request additional verification
  • Disable links or access

Moderation decisions are made at our sole discretion to maintain platform integrity and safety.

10. Cooperation with Law Enforcement

We may work proactively and upon lawful request with law enforcement authorities to:

  • Investigate illegal activity
  • Prevent harm or exploitation
  • Protect the safety of users and the public
  • Comply with legal obligations

Information may be preserved or disclosed where legally required or where necessary to protect safety.

11. Fraud Prevention and Platform Integrity

To maintain the integrity of the Service, we may use security measures including:

  • Monitoring posting activity for abuse patterns
  • Limited logging of posting-related technical data
  • Verification processes designed to prevent unlawful use

These measures exist to protect users and keep the platform lawful and safe.

12. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content that appears illegal, unsafe, or in violation of these guidelines, please report it immediately.

Reports help protect users and maintain the integrity of the Service.

13. Changes to Posting Guidelines

We may update these Posting Guidelines at any time. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines.
